By analyzing existing solutions, we identified key gaps such as limited dashboard customization, lack of real-time updates, and insufficient reporting tools. These findings helped us craft a platform that offers enhanced functionality and value.

Feedback from restaurant owners and staff underscored the importance of real-time updates, intuitive design, and reduced manual processes. DineLink’s features directly address these needs, ensuring user satisfaction and operational efficiency.

The design phase for DineLink centered on crafting a seamless and efficient user experience through a comprehensive approach. I created the UX/UI for the dashboard, ensuring it was intuitive and functional for restaurant staff to navigate. This involved developing detailed wireframes to structure the layout and interactions, a cohesive moodboard to establish the visual direction, and a robust design system to maintain consistency across all elements. Additionally, I mapped out user flows to streamline the order management process, ensuring every step was logical and user-centric. The result is a polished, visually appealing platform tailored to meet the needs of busy restaurant environments.

Creating a clean and organized dashboard that displays an overview of order-related information and also a session that prominently shows the current and scheduled order being processed.Orders ListAdd a session in the dashboard where restaurant staff can view a list of all orders in a clear and concise format. Each order should be identifiable by order number, and order status (e.g., pending, preparing, completed) etc. Implement search and filtering options to help staff easily find specific orders based on date, status, or other relevant criteria.Order DetailsAdd a session in the same dashboard to get a detailed view for each individual order. Include essential information such as the order items, quantities, total price, customer contact details, and delivery address, etc.

I developed the concept for DineLink by immersing myself in understanding the challenges restaurant staff face in managing orders and streamlining operations. Through research and user interviews, I identified key pain points, such as the absence of real-time order updates and inefficient workflows. Using these insights, I conceptualized a platform that centralizes order management, enhances communication, and simplifies daily tasks. By creating user personas and mapping user journeys, I ensured the concept directly addressed the needs of the target audience. I refined the concept further by developing wireframes and prototypes, using iterative feedback to shape a solution that is both functional and user-friendly. This hands-on approach allowed me to create a platform rooted in real-world needs, with a focus on delivering value to restaurant staff and owners.
